Project Overview
MES Rural recently completed a stock fencing installation in Louth, helping to create a secure and practical field boundary for a rural property.
The project involved installing new timber fence posts and stock netting along the edge of the field, providing a strong and reliable boundary between the grassland, neighbouring field and surrounding hedgerow. The fencing was installed across open ground as well as alongside more overgrown boundary areas, requiring careful preparation and a neat, considered approach.
Stock fencing is a popular choice for farms, paddocks, smallholdings and rural land because it offers a durable and cost-effective way to secure boundaries, manage livestock and define field edges. You can also view another example of stock fencing completed in Louth.
The Work Carried Out
For this Louth stock fencing project, MES Rural installed a new line of fencing using timber posts and galvanised stock netting. Strainer posts and supporting braces were also fitted at key points to help keep the fence line strong, secure and properly tensioned.
The work included:
- Preparing the fence line along the field boundary
- Installing timber posts at regular intervals
- Fitting stock netting securely along the fence line
- Adding bracing and strainers where required
- Creating a neat, practical boundary suitable for rural use
The finished fencing blends well into the surrounding countryside while providing a functional and long-lasting solution for the landowner.
